Hello, my name is Ken Freier.
I am pleased to share a bit of background. I was raised in a traditional mainline church family, learned scripture and catechism, and as a young boy came to an awareness that Jesus is Lord and have lived according to Christian beliefs since then. I attended Bible School and Christian College here in Alberta and was blessed to be nurtured and nourished by God’s word and his people. I currently have been employed over 20 years with the Alberta Government and am responsible for managing leadership development programs and initiatives. I am an avid reader of Scripture, books on Spirituality, and a practitioner of Spiritual Disciplines. While I have seen and experienced grief and hardship, “I know that my Redeemer lives” and “that we have this hope as an anchor for the soul”. It is an honor to accompany others in the walk amidst the mystery of God’s work in our lives.
My education and training include a BA (Psych.), an Alberta Teaching Certificate, and MA (Leadership and Organization). I have also in the instructed adults at the community college level.
I reside on an acreage near Devon, AB. with my wife Gail. We have 3 adult children, and I became a grandfather 6 months ago! My interests and hobbies include music/ guitar playing, carpentry, fitness, and of course enjoying outdoor activities.
