Urban Sanctuary Events

Events and Retreats are an essential part of our Spiritual Formation Ministry at the Urban Sanctuary. We are formed not only in our relationship to God, but also in community. We are made for relationships – with God and others.Almost all learning and growing, in a sense, takes place in community.

The Urban Sanctuary offers regular spiritual formation events including regular Guided Retreats and special events.

The Guided Retreats are designed to introduce participants to focused times of solitude and prayer. Each Guided Retreat has a different theme and there are several different facilitators, but they are all shaped around a basic structure of times of solitude and prayer interspersed with short times of group reflection and instruction.

Our special events come in many shapes, lengths, and sizes and they are all designed to invite you to journey with others in the journey of growing in your connection and relationship with God.
